They believe the issue is linked to specific batches of cashews, so the recall includes all products containing those nuts.ae0fcc31ae342fd3a1346ebb1f342fcb “Although our investigation is ongoing, we believe the source of the glass is cashews that were an ingredient common to the products subject to this recall,” the company said in a statement about the recall. “SunTree Snack Foods, LLC is taking this action out of an abundance of caution.” It’s unclear how the glass made its way into the packaging, but thankfully, according to SunTree, no one has sustained injuries from the products in question. The potentially contaminated packages were distributed to stores across Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, as well as Washington, D.C. Customers are urged not to eat the recalled nuts and those looking to get a refund for their purchases are encouraged to return them to wherever they were purchased from to do so. This is the second H-E-B branded food that’s been recalled in the past couple of weeks due to potential foreign material. On Sept. 14, the FDA announced that certain lots of H-E-B Jumbo Stuffed Shells were recalled after the company received multiple complaints from customers who said the frozen pasta may contain pieces of metal. The 22-oz. packages of stuffed shells affected contain item number 796702, UPC number 041220771110, lot code 2 1208, and a sell-by date of 07/27/22. The company is urging customers to throw the frozen food away or return it to a H-E-B store for a refund.
